Lilo and Stitch are not a fad

Lilo and Stitch-Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride(English)

When Lilo and Stitch was on its way back in 2002, no one really knew what to expect. The poster merely said “There’s one in every family” with a picture of what looked like a blue dog with big long ears with many of the most loved Disney characters sitting in the background. So the question was what was the film going to be about, many Disney peeps or a spin off of all things Disney?

It turned out not to be either of these. Stitch was actually an aggressive alien from another planet who was turned good by Lilo in the end. This film was set in Hawaii and the film was nominated for an Academy Award and recieved and still does recieve a huge fan base. So fo course Disney saw this and soon after another film was released along with a television series based on the franchise and went on to do very well on the DIsney Channel. It had done something that Disney had not been able to do in many years. It was a film much like the Lion King and Jungle Book that everyone in the family could enjoy.

Stitch is now of course put over everything Disney from t-shirts to the theme parks that Disney have. What was it that made this film such a success, the fact that it was set in the beautiful Hawaii or that Stitch appeals to both genders?

Stitch has a ride of his own at Disney World Florida along with being in many of the shows. Hoodies, cups, t-shirts, pins whatever you can think of, Stitch is on it. If you still have not seen the original film it is worth a watch even if it is just to see what all of the fuss is about.

Of course you could go on one of those Hawaii holidays to see the island from the films. USA holidays are great for the entire family and if you are looking to meet Stitch himself then Orlando holidays is where you should be looking to go.

Will the Soaps Have Weddings This Christmas

As we move nearer and nearer to Christmas time, we are beginning to get ready by buying gifts and decorating our home. Christmas day is a fabulous day, people get to spend worthful time with their families and close friends. But what a lot of people also look forward too is watching Christmas episodes of the soaps. Almost all of the soaps battle it out on Christmas to attract viewers. You can constantly ensure that in a Christmas installment of a soap there is either going to be a wedding, funeral, affairs, murder or robbery. So lets take a look at some of the most compelling storylines of the last year.

Stacey and Max Eastenders

Well this was the climax that viewers were waiting for months. The max and Stacey storyline dragged on for months, but the Christmas episode did not fail to deliver, you could literally hear a pin drop when the max and Stacey video was played.

Richard and Emily Coronation Street

Who can forget when tricky dicky was part of the Street. The Christmas storyline evolved around Mr Hillman trying to kill Emily Bishop to try and get hold of her house, but he was stopped when Rita walked into the room.

Martin and Jamie Eastenders

Once more another spectacular Eastenders installment, where Martin run down Jamie Mitchell on Christmas eve who then concluded up passing away.

Kat and Alfie Wedding

The couples were in all likelihood the most popular soap character to date. Their wedding which aired on Christmas day pulled in millions of viewers. If I also remember correctly it was probably one of the happiest endings that I have ever seen in Eastenders.

So what weddings and action can we expect this Christmas? Only time can tell, but I can guarantee they will be just as good.

Movie Reviews - Transformers 2

Tibia PK Movie

Since the dawn of film making, Hollywood has been producing legends. These legends, whether they are actors, actresses, or directors are responsible for taking the community at large and transporting them for two hours into a world that is unlike any they have known. Entertainment is a necessary commodity in today’s world as it is becoming more and more necessary to step out of our own stress-filled lives for a while and envelope ourselves in the usually brighter, more dazzling world of entertainment Hollywood legends.

Marilyn Monroe

Born Norma Jeane Baker, Marilyn Monroe is probably the most recognizable female Hollywood icon on the planet. She spent a lot of time in orphanages and foster homes until 1937 when she was 11 years old. Originally typecast as a dumb blond, her innate sensuality coupled with a childlike innocence has rendered her one of the sweethearts of Hollywood. Some of her films have included: Dangerous Years, Love Nest, Monkey Business and Gentleman Prefer Blondes.

In the movie Casablanca just towards the end, Rick says his farewell to the girl he left behind and sends her on her way with her husband to America. After they leave, Major Strassa of the Gestapo arrives to find out that Victor Lazlo and his wife are on the plane heading for America. Strassa heads for the telephone at the airport to warn of their departure. He picks up the telephone and begins to speak into it. Rick (Humphrey Bogart) tells him to put the phone down several times. Strassa then pulls a gun on Rick but Rick shoots him first. Strassa falls slowly to the ground, still holding the receiver of the phone in his hand.

Then on TV we had the great and funny show Laugh In with Lilly Tomlin doing the bit about the rude telephone operator. She’s place her call by starting off, “One ringy dingy…two ringy dingy…”. And the attitude of this woman towards the people placing calls makes you laugh even more today because of how rude telephone operators of today really are. She was way ahead of her time.

John Wayne

Also known as Michael Morris and Duke Morris, John Wayne was born in 1907 and is on the American Film Institute’s list of Greatest Male Stars of All Time. He began acting in silent movies in the 1920’s, but his peak as an actor occurred between the 1940’s and 1970’s. His most identifying film genre is the western, however he was a diverse actor who also starred in romantic comedies, dramas, and biographies.

The movie revolves around different countries of the world but the main focus is on Egypt. Sam sees a lot of flashes of the old Egyptian scripture when he touches Allspark, and he starts writing a lot of difficult Egyptian scriptures during one of his classes in college. It was concluded that the Transformers have ancient history on Earth.

And then the war of Decepticons versus the Autobots starts. Even the humans are dragged in the battle as the Decepticons want to destroy the world. Now the Decepticons want Sam because he has the piece of All Spark even though he wants to stay out of it, it soon becomes his war.

Alfred Hitchcock

Known as one of the greatest thriller directors of all time, he was born in London in 1899. His plots used many mistaken identity themes and he also made cameo appearances in most of his films. He often used blond haired leading ladies, and fashioned plot points around bathrooms. Some of his most famous films were Shadow of Doubt, Dial M for Murder, and Psycho, truly one of the greatest entertainment Hollywood legends
