• Make the most of every opportunity: Every gathering of friends is an opportunity to get better. Act out a scene for them as if it were a real audition. Aim to get better every time you act, no matter who’s watching. Prepare for casting calls by filming yourself at home. All you need is a webcam or camera phone. Film yourself reading for a role. Convince yourself it’s the real thing. Imagine that whoever is filming you is really the casting director or director of photography.
The secret is how you approach what you’re already doing. You have to create the opportunity for perfect practice in everything you do—every school and church play, every party and family gathering. The key is to approach every acting opportunity and every acting class not as a task to complete, but as rehearsal for your future film casting calls.

Many people like to actually go out to a store and pick out one of those model kits that they like the look of, to simply take it home and build it from the instructions but there are also people out there that like to do things a bit differently? This is what is known as custom model building and a lot of people do it.
Where Does This Occur?
Well by the looks of things it would seem that a lot of this kind of thing comes from the movie industry and when it comes to making a film you cannot simply use a pre built model kit. Movies would be pretty stupid if they used pre made model kits and this is because you would have a lot of movies featuring the same kinds of models!!
Film companies will often have the opportunity to have access to all kinds of parts and pieces and it is these that they use to put together the massive models featured in movies. Helicopters are created with RC helicopters and the same goes for things like RC aircraft. It is actually very difficult now to be able to tell what is the difference between CGI, real life and model kits whereas back in the day you could really tell they were all models.
On top of the movies there are many people that build custom model kits for fun and just stick them into their homes. The best examples of these actually come from Hornby train sets and things like this because people build up the sets to go around the track and some of these really do look fantastic.
